Consumer Credit Compliance has chosen Harrogate-based charity Saint Michael’s Hospice as its Charity of the Year.
Saint Michael’s Hospice provides essential care to more than 2000 local people every year, and the majority of its funding is generated by the local community. Saint Michael’s cares for people with any type of terminal illness, and it estimates it will need £6 million per year to continue providing its services.
Saint Michael’s is very close to the hearts of a number of the CCC team, with them experiencing first-hand the amazing care that the hospice provides to the local community.
To kick off their fundraising for Saint Michael’s, CCC chose to send e-cards to its clients instead of buying Christmas cards and donated £500 it would usually spend to the hospice instead.
Ian Beardmore, Chief Executive Officer at Consumer Credit Compliance said: “We’re delighted to be able to support Saint Michael’s, as we know what a vital service they provide to the local community and we look forward to working with them in 2019.”
Chief Executive of Saint Michael’s Tony Collins said: “Saint Michael’s will be a part of Christmas for so many local families; donations help us to offer care, support and comfort so that people living with a terminal illness and their families can make the most of precious time together.
We are very grateful to Consumer Credit Compliance for their generous gesture, choosing to support local hospice care in lieu of sending Christmas cards.
With the majority of our funding coming from our community, we would simply not be able to continue providing our special care without vital support like this.”
