The APCC is delighted to announce that with effect from 14th July 2016 Nick Ross will take over the role of Chairman of the Association, following the resignation of Kevin Parkinson. Kevin is leaving due to a change in employment circumstances which prevent him from continuing with the role, the Steering Council would like to thank Kevin for his energy and support and wish him well in his new role. As many of you will know, Nick has been our Deputy Chairman, supporting Kevin in his role so this will be a seamless transition.
The APCC Steering Council, which currently consists of 9 people, meets monthly to discuss issues that have a direct impact on the APCC and its members. In addition, individuals from the Steering Council meet with the FCA and other regulatory or related bodies to discuss issues of concern. Whilst these meetings do not necessarily produce quick fix answers to issues, they are a way of ensuring the FCA is aware of these issues and where the APCC believe there are better approaches. These meetings are also a way of the FCA communicating to the APPC their concerns.
